We saw both Coach and Chanse today, which made it an excellent day. Coach had a busy day ahead in the barber shop so he could only give quick hugs all around before he had to go, but his son Chanse stayed with us to help serve. He’s an amazing kid and we love having him with us.

We’ve been working on plans for group cooking nights where volunteers can come together and cook several weeks’ worth of food at once. I’m really excited at all the possibilities - more details coming soon! One date to put on your calendar now is Wed. Aug. 18 from 5pm-8pm for a farm tour and cooking night at First Fruits Farm! Other dates at other locations are also in the works. I’m excited to move from pandemic-era solo cooking and into fun, collaborative group cooking! If you’d be up for a group cooking night, let me know in the comments, please!

Stats: 112 breakfast burritos, 50+ bag lunches, 5 gallons mango iced tea, 94 bottles of cold water, and clementines and bananas. We also handed out masks.
