Cold day, warm hearts! We had hats and scarves galore from the knitters of Lovelyarns shop in Hampden. (THANK YOU, FRIENDS!). Our guests loved being able to choose their color and style and hearing that these were knit just for them. You all made a lot of people smile yesterday. And we had blankets, gloves, and hand-warmers - some from generous mystery donors who have yet to reveal themselves! Even though it was bitterly cold, our guests were patient and our volunteers were friendly and fast. We served up turkey, barley, & kale soup, bag lunches, fresh fruit, chocolate chip cookies, and hot ginger lemon tea with lots of honey. Felt great to be with everyone today! Thank you all, guests and volunteers, for coming out!
