Saturday, December 31

Another year wrapped up! It was wet and foggy out today and the vibe was a little weird when we showed up, but as always, once our friends and regulars started rolling through with their hellos and their updates on their weeks, all was right with the world. Saw a lot of folks I hadn't seen in a while, and there were lots of hugs and "Happy Holidays!" and "Happy New Year's!" going around. Not sure everyone caught the woman who was grooving REAL low to the Sugar Hill Gang on our L&C playlist and said, laughing, "I may be 60, but I can still get low!" She absolutely could!

Barb's creamy, cheesy, and comforting potato broccoli soup was a big hit and smelled fantastic. It was extra special because the potatoes - all 50 lbs of them! and yes we used them all to make our 180+ servings - were donated by a fellow tenant at Our Time Kitchen.

Ending this year so grateful for the friends and relationships that Love & Cornbread has generated and look forward to more connections in 2023!
